Nigel Bird is both a registered Pharmacist and Homoeopath having studied Pharmacy and Pharmacology at Bradford and Nottingham universities and who became interested in Complementary Medicine about 20 years ago.
He decided to specialise in Homoeopathy because he realised that conventional medicine only suppressed symptoms, they did not get to the cause of the disease and the drugs used could be dangerous, toxic and their side-effects outweigh there possible benefits.
He commenced studies about this time and passed the diploma of the British Institute of Homoeopathy in 1992. He then went on to pass the Doctorate in Homoeopathic Medicine in 1994. Dr. Bird was aslo made Fellow of the Institute in 1994.
Full Homoeopthic services can be offered by Dr. Bird from the centre including consultation by appointment diagnosis, treatment, prescribing and dispensing of Classical and Complex Homoeopathic remedies.
In 2007 Dr. Nigel Bird was elected to the board of the Alliance of Registered Homoeopaths, as a Co-Director.
In 2008 Dr. Nigel Bird was appointed Chairman of the Academic board of the British Institute of Homoeopathy.
